Change the Sounds in Circulation

Follett provides several sound files that you can use.

• For all products, there are two default sounds for events or actions in Circulation.
• ForLibrary Manager, there are two additional sounds: Fine/Overdue and Hold/Reserve Ready.

You can change the sounds you hear for certain alert conditions.

If you prefer to use different sounds, you can upload sound files. The sound file must be either a .wav or .au file and have a maximum length of 2 seconds.

To change a sound:

1. Select Admin> Site Configuration > Circulation sub-tab.
2. At the bottom of the tab under Circulation Sounds, click Change next to the sound you want to change.
3. Click Browse (or Choose File, based on your browser) to find and select a sound file.
4. Click Upload Sound to upload and play a new sound file.
5. To compare your current sound to the uploaded sound, click their respective Play buttons.
6. To replace the current sound with the uploaded sound, click Save.

To change the sound back to the default, click Restore.
